长流村是新垌镇下辖的行政村，村名来自一条常年有水的溪流。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
现名长流村民委员会，自1999年沿用；此前1986年称长流农村管理区，1983年称长流乡；解放前一带称长流水，成立大队后定名长流大队。[1]
据地名由来，这条溪流汇集几条山坑之水，水清且常年不断，当地农田既不易旱也不易涝，因此称长流河。[1]
