现名新垌村民委员会，自1999年沿用；此前1986年称新垌农村管理区，1983年称新垌乡；1961年公社化时设新垌大队。[1]

  • 广东省爱卫会在2021年12月将新垌村认定为「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1]
