广潭村是茂名市高州市宝光街道所辖的行政村，村边有一口很大的水潭，村名即由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年公社化时，这里属大同公社顿梭区；1959年归顿梭公社环城区；1962年划入换成公社，成立广潭大队。1983年起称广潭乡，1986年起为管理区，1999年起设广潭村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

2021年12月，广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予广潭村“2021年广东省卫生村”称号；2019年9月，村在广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单上；2026年1月，村获评广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
