宝光社区是茂名市高州市宝光街道所辖的城区社区，因靠近宝光塔而得名。1996年，当时的西岸街道设宝光居民委员会；2003年西岸街道与顿梭镇合并成立宝光街道，居民委员会保留，后来改称宝光社区居民委员会。2019年9月，社区在广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单上。[1]
