南湖塘社区是广东省茂名市高州市潘州街道下辖的社区，位于高州老城区，城乡分类为主城区[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

社区位于高州城郊南部，过去这里有湖塘，因此叫南湖塘。新中国成立前后，这一带属茂岭区南宫乡；1958年归附城公社的附城大队；1962年体制下放后划入环城公社，称南湖塘大队；1986年改称南湖塘管理区，1999年又设社区居委会，沿用至今。南湖塘也是原南湖街道的得名之地，该街道2003年并入潘州街道[1]。
