镇西村是广东省茂名市电白区水东街道下辖的行政村，在水东开发区路口一带，下分18个村民小组，人口4520人（在册750户）。1950年起先后称镇西行政村、农协会、乡、营、生产大队等，1999年定名镇西村委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，镇西的建制变化频繁：1950年是行政村，次年成立农协会，1953年设乡，1956年编为营，1958年为生产大队；1983年重又叫乡，1987年改设村委会，1989年一度叫管理区，1999年再改回村委会，名称至今未变。[1]
