历史沿革[edit]
起初是1953年的彭村乡；1958年成为生产大队，1983年重又叫乡，1987年改设村委会，1989年一度叫管理区，1999年再改回村委会，名称至今未变。[1]
经济[edit]
村情资料载：全村总面积1平方千米，耕地1200亩，主要种花生、水稻和蔬菜，村里办有砖厂和运输业；发展经济的措施中，列在首位的是大力发展彭村芥菜种植基地。资料未注明年份。[1]
水东芥菜又名彭村芥菜，2007年12月6日起获国家地理标志产品保护。[2]
荣誉[edit]
彭村在2019年9月公布的2018年度创建名单里，创建的是广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
