博雅地名网说明，辖区内「忠良」一名历史较久，所以居委会以它命名；至于这个地名本身的来历，该页没有交代。[1][2]

忠良社区在2019年9月公布的2018年度创建名单里，创建的是广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
