东埇社区在大山江街道东北部，处旧广湛线与梅化路的交会处，东边是覃巴镇，北边是博铺街道，西北有袂花江流向南海，下设5个居民小组，面积4.1平方千米[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

东埇在2002年从岭圩村委会划出，另设居委会，沿用至今[1]。

经济[edit]

社区耕地1629亩，辖区内有工业企业10多家，华立高科技城、吴川宏通物流中心也在此[1]。养殖业以淡水鱼和鱼苗为主：鱼塘1700多亩，6处孵化鱼苗的场地[1]。2007年工业总产值1亿多元，居民人均纯收入为3052元[1]。社区有小学2所[1]。2019年9月，社区被列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。
