历史沿革[edit]

今北坑一带在1952年以前归伟家乡，范围含符家、符家园、龙仔乡、新港屋、壳岭南、北村和北坑上下两村；当年撤乡建生产大队，合为北坑大队。1984年设乡，1999年改设北坑村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

北坑村被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」（2026年3月）。北坑村入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」（2021年1月公布）。北坑村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」（2019年9月公布）。[1]
