步月最初是1951年的初级社，1958年归南兴公社，1983年成立步月乡；1987年2月起设村委会，1999年重设村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2026年1月，它获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
  • 在2019年9月公布的名单中，它是「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之一。[1]
