历史沿革[edit]

东岳1911年至1958年间先后属第二区（南兴）东市梅田乡；1958年划归雷南县的先锋南兴人民公社，属山尾大队；1961年在花桥公社下另成东岳生产大队，1963年1月又成了南兴镇的东岳大队；1983年11月，东岳与塘头、田东、山尾四村合为塘头乡，1987年2月分设村委会，1999年成立村民委员会。[1]
