地名与沿革[edit]
村四面山水环抱，境内奇石较多，村民遂以「石宁」命名。[1]早期石宁、南充、秧地头三处合称石宁乡；1958年建石宁大队，1983年设石宁乡，1987年改管区，1999年改为石宁村委会。[1]
概况[edit]
全村总面积6.73平方千米，辖石宁、充塘、石屋、锅厂、竹园等19条自然村，共1072户、4756人，其中常住3479人；种植以水稻为主，耕地约1160亩，林地2625亩（含促生林2000亩）；养殖生猪、鸭、鸡和鱼类。[2]村域内有饰面用花岗岩矿的开发利用项目，方案已通过专家评审并公示。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，石宁村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
