历史沿革[edit]
塘蓬圩的前身是明代末期形成的腾龙圩，相传当地原有一座腾龙庵；清代文化名人黄肇塘取「肇塘基业蓬勃兴旺」之意，改称塘蓬。社区因驻地在圩内而得名。[1]
1987年设塘蓬居委会，1989年改称塘蓬管理区，2000年定名塘蓬社区居民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
概况[edit]
社区在镇政府东南面，东邻同留村，南邻安和村，西邻石宁村，北邻南充村，面积约5平方千米，有1106户3319人（该页未注明年份），居民多经营零售业。区内的公共设施包括三所中学、两所小学、四所幼儿园、一所卫生院，以及一座烈士纪念馆。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，塘蓬社区进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
