莲塘口村是广东省湛江市廉江市河唇镇的行政村，村落坐落在一口大莲塘的塘口，故名。[1] 村东有雷州青年运河经过，南有河茂铁路，西有廉江至石角的公路。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

莲塘口大队设于1958年，之后依次是乡（1983年）、管理区（1987年）、村委会（1999年起沿用）。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村在河唇镇政府东南面，东邻良塘村，南邻新屋仔村，西邻青湖村，北邻河唇社区。村下有10条自然村，如莲塘口、马鞍山、秧地坡、山背；此外还有教化岭、南洋甫、荔枝园、莲塘排、田心。[2] 面积4.17平方千米，居民938户、4800人（年份未注），均为汉族；耕地0.7584平方千米，林地2.7881平方千米，鱼塘0.0610平方千米。[2]

经济[edit]

村里种红杨桃、石榴、荔枝、龙眼、甘蔗等，2016年人均年收入4850元。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年1月，莲塘口村入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
