后坡寮村是城北乡下辖的行政村，村址在一处小山坡上，辖区内有北寮村和南寮村，村名由此而来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

该地原属石岭大队，1960年才分出，立后坡寮大队；1984年称乡，1986年设村委会，1991年为管理区，1998年起为村民委员会[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年1月，后坡寮村入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」，2019年9月列入2018年「广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
