前山社区是湛江市徐闻县下属前山镇辖的镇中心社区，镇政府所在的前山圩一带属于这里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载地名由来，清康熙年间，何氏家族从雷州府遂溪县东海岛的禄荷村迁来定居，村址在山丘之前，又因怀念旧村，取名禄山。乾隆十二年（1747年）前后，前山墟渐成规模，人们按墟前的山丘称这里为前山，沿用至今。[1]

1961年起为前山居民大队，其后几经更名：1983年居民管理区，1986年居委会，1988年又回到居民管理区，1999年定为前山社区居民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，前山社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2023年5月，社区内的前山居民小组获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
