历史沿革[edit]
旧庙在1953年归北洋行政村，1954年行政村撤销，旧庙乡成立。1958年乡并入荔枝大队，1962年划出，另立旧庙大队。其后依次称旧庙乡（1983年）、村委会（1986年）、管理区（1989年），1999年定为旧庙村民委员会。[1]

- 旧庙村于2019年9月入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
