历史沿革[edit]
1950年设吴西乡，此后1953年办初级社，随后1955年办高级社，继而1958年为吴西大队；再后1983年改称吴西乡，此后1986年设村委会，随后1989年称管理区，继而1999年定名吴西村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
吴西村在2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。广东省爱卫会于2023年5月将该村的库和村评为「2022年广东省卫生村」；2019年9月，吴西村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
据城月镇2024年的概况，吴西村把「孝亲文化」与基层治理结合，以长者食堂为中心探索嵌入式养老服务，在遂溪县第二批典型村的第三方测评中排第3位，并吸引房车游客前来过冬。[2]
