历史沿革[edit]
石头塘与石塘原为同一个村，此后1950年设行政村，随后1957年建高级社，继而1958年为生产队，再后1983年称石塘乡，此后1986年为石塘村委会，随后1999年为石塘村民委员会；直至2021年3月1日，县人民政府批复同意将其分设，石头塘村民委员会由此成立。[1]
荣誉[edit]
石头塘村在2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇，此前2022年12月已是2022年度遂溪县文明村镇。[1]
据城月镇2024年的概况，石头塘村借「粤黑合作」试行「北薯南种」，用「稻稻薯」模式建起760亩现代农业示范基地。[2]
