吴村是湛江市遂溪县城月镇辖下的行政村，1983年前属海康县；军人唐才猷出生于此。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1983年以前，吴村属海康县，称吴村大队；之后划归遂溪县城月镇，设吴村乡，此后1986年改为吴村村委会，随后1989年称管理区，继而1999年再改称吴村村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

吴村在2021年1月进入湛江市2020年度全市文明村名单。[1]

著名人物[edit]

唐才猷（1916年—2019年），出身城月镇吴村，读的是广东省立雷州师范学校，1938年入党，历任雷州抗日游击大队大队长、粤桂边纵队副司令、钦廉军分区司令员，1970年起任湖南省军区副司令员，2019年10月1日病逝于广州，享年102岁。[2]
