北潭社区是遂溪县界炮镇辖下的社区，属城乡结合区。[1]这里1954年组织起北潭互助组，1956年转为初级社，1957年升为高级社；1958年人民公社化时，一度拆为北潭、岭仔、柑定园三个大队，次年重新合一，称北潭大队。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此后的建制是：1985年设北潭乡人民政府，1987年10月撤乡建居委会，1989年设管理区，1999年4月改为村民委员会，2002年4月撤村建社区居民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，北潭社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」；2026年3月被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
