海滨街道是广东省湛江市霞山区下辖的街道，位于霞山区东北部，辖海昌、海宁2个社区。街道名称取自辖区临海的位置[1]。2000年第五次全国人口普查时，海滨街道总人口为15846人[2]；2021年第七次全国人口普查时为2.07万人，在霞山区各街道中位列第10位[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

霞山区的前身是广州湾租借地时期的西营。1996年，霞山区下辖爱国、工农、解放、友谊、海滨、新兴6个街道和海头镇，海滨街道已在其中[2]。到2002年，海滨街道与解放、爱国等街道一起，仍属霞山区的8个街道之列，另有海头镇[2]。此后霞山区的街道数目屡有增加，2009年末为12个街道，海滨街道仍在其列[2]。

辖区内的社区设立于2002年前后：海宁社区于2002年3月由霞山区人民政府批准设立；海昌社区则在2002年8月26日的社区重划中，由原海昌、海景、观海3个居委会合并而成[3][4]。

地理环境[edit]

据爱国街道条目，海滨街道在其东北方向与爱国街道接壤，爱国街道东濒麻斜海[5]。博雅地名网记海滨街道辖区面积约2.2平方千米，人口密度约每平方千米9409人[1]。街道下辖的2个社区城乡分类均为主城区[3][4]。

名胜古迹[edit]

博雅地名网把湛江海滨公园和广州湾法国公使署旧址（附法军指挥部旧址）列入海滨街道一带的景点[1]。海滨公园位于海滨一路东侧，1957年起建，占地31.42万平方米，其中月亮湖约7万平方米，东面临海湾，园内有月亮岛、月亮湖和时代广场，广场地面镶嵌世界地图，并有展现湛江历史的汉白玉浮雕[6]。广州湾法国公使署旧址在霞山区海滨路，是1903年落成的混凝土建筑，门窗仿哥特式样。法国人统治广州湾期间，租借地的公使署设在这里；抗战胜利后，湛江市政府（1946年至1949年）和湛江市人民政府（1950年至1954年）先后在此办公。该旧址是全国重点文物保护单位[7]。
