新霞社区在广东省湛江市霞山区，归新兴街道管辖，属主城区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

它由新村居委会演变而来，1987年得到霞山区政府批准，以“新霞居委会”之名成立；当时该居委会负责管理新村周边的工厂，社名即由此而来。到2003年，辖区重新划分，区政府批准其改称新霞社区居委会。[1]

2019年9月，该社区名列广东省2018年“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位。[1]
