东堤社区属湛江市霞山区爱国街道，以辖区主干道东堤路得名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年之前，这里隶属旧爱国街道的辖区，该年单独设立东堤居委会。2002年区域重划，爱国、自力、东堤、东风四处居委会并成一个，称东堤社区居委会。[1]

百度百科记，在方位上，东为汉口社区，西为洪屋社区，南为人民东社区，北为环湖社区和特呈岛村；2021年建成社区党群服务中心，列为爱国街道当年的重点工程。[2]
