北桥街道是广东省湛江市赤坎区下辖的街道，区划代码440802008，1986年设立，因北桥路穿过辖区而得名。[1]下辖新景、振华2个社区和大埠、福建、东山、新坡、后坑、丰厚、金田、文章8个行政村。[1]据第七次全国人口普查，街道人口约4.46万人，在赤坎区各街道中居第五位；辖区面积约18平方千米，居第一位。[1]维基百科另记其人口为31876人，年份未注明。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

北桥街道于1986年设立。[1]辖区内的社区和村，大多由1980年前后设立的生产大队沿革而来：1983年改称乡，1986年改设居委会或村委会，1989年称管理区，2000年前后（社区为2002年）又改回村委会、居委会。[1]

村与社区[edit]

街道内各村、社区的名称多有来历：福建村的村民大多从福建迁来，祖先以故地之名立村；新景社区因新景路穿过而名，振华社区因与振兴路相接、寓意振兴中华而名；东山、新坡、丰厚、金田四村的名称，则寄托着东山再起、新生发达、年年丰收和土地肥沃的愿望。[1]

2023年11月，丰厚、金田、文章三村与另外两村一并入选「首批典型县镇村」（广东“百千万工程”）；2026年1月东山、福建两村被评为第二批典型村，同年3月后坑村被认定为第三批典型村镇。[1]
