辖区面积约23平方千米，耕地约5000亩，常住人口3023人，639户，下辖24个村小组。产业有辣椒、冬瓜、番薯、稻谷、养殖和水产。[1]镇里的高龙辣椒基地设在此村。[2]

2019年村里筹资约30万元实施改水工程，2022年又投入约18万元；还硬化水浸村、坳仔村、横洞村等村小组的村道，2022年12月完成3公里亮灯工程。[1]
