交四线贯穿村境，离市区16公里。12条自然村为良塘、新开、永安、五星、南安、凤仪、东升、五福、北闸、四九、南兴和牛山。收入以水稻为主，养殖为辅。村有党员34名。[1]

近年建设[edit]

村委会招商引资，把凤仪村办成旅游点，并开展「三清三拆三整治」和垃圾分类。[1] 塘口镇卫生院在四九设有门诊；四九片区的污水处理项目由镇推进。[2][3] 镇的村庄规划把四九列为中心村之一。[4]
