荔枝塘村是广东省江门市台山市水步镇下辖的行政村，位于全镇的西北角，西边濒临潭江，与开平市相邻。村委会设在西龙里，离水步圩9.5千米。[1][2] 村名来自潭江岸边生长了上百年的荔枝林。[1] 全村面积2.4平方千米，有15条自然村、12个村民小组，镇政府2026年公布的人口为1724人。[2]

村内福安村的一座清末碉楼在施工中发生倾斜，未按原计划建完，却至今没有倒塌，被人称为「台山比萨斜塔」。[2][1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，这里称荔枝塘堡；民国时期归台山县第二区联兴乡。1958年境内分成雁声、铁三两个大队，1962年两队重新合起来，称荔枝塘大队；到1987年，大队改为管理区。[1] 2021年，村委会办公楼完成升级，自来水接通到户，潭江沿岸的绿道也经过改造；2022年建成470平方米的党群服务中心，设6个窗口，可办理137项事务。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域的轮廓近似一个等边三角形：西边沿潭江，东北面与大江镇山前相接，东南面是联兴村。[2][1] 农田中旱地245亩、水田964亩；水面方面，用于淡水养殖的有170亩，另有鱼塘53亩和山塘12口。[2]

经济[edit]

农业以水稻为主，兼种蔬菜、玉米、番薯和豆类，养殖以淡水鱼为主。[2] 村里出产的华广刀具在五邑一带有一定名气。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

福安村碉楼建在潭江边，建造年份为清宣统二年（1910年）。按原来的设计要建六层，盖到第四层时楼身已经歪斜，只好封顶停工，此后近百年斜而未倒。[2][1]

著名人物[edit]

  • 林洪雁：本村人，因培育水稻良种有成绩，1964年获「广东省先进工作者」称号。[2]
  • 林钦羡：旅美华商，林宇藩的侄子。从1987年起与叔父一起出资兴办林德信自来水工程和芦霞大基村的自来水工程，又出资建起萃英小学林举全礼堂、水步幼儿园的林举全纪念楼、芦霞小学的隆宇纪念楼、金坑里的林德信纪念楼以及水步中心小学的课室，捐款合计212万元。1997年获授「台山市荣誉市民」，2000年获水步镇政府授予「振兴水步突出贡献奖」。[2]

金坑村民小组1988年获评广东省文明村，2019年又获评广东省卫生村；福塘村民小组在2017年获评广东省卫生村。全村另建有文化室4间。[2]
