历史沿革[edit]
村名因位于七十亩围的西部而来。[1] 1949年外海解放后，这里先后属中路乡、自由乡和外海人民公社的中路大队，1999年撤区建村，设七西村民委员会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子靠近中江高速公路外海出入口，百度百科还提到附近有规划中的城际轻轨。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村里有户籍人口1414人，常住人口约2060人，外来流动人口600多人；村民代表33名，村委会成员5名。[1][2]
经济[edit]
村办工业园2个，非公有制企业约60家，以物流、五金和灯饰为主；2023年村集体经济收入803万多元。[1][2] 村里建有占地80多亩的物流园，并与企业合作建设安全应急产业园区和长生科技园；百度百科称长生工业园计划2025年试产。[1]
文化[edit]
村党支部1978年1月成立，有党员38名。[2] 2021年，村列入广东省乡村治理示范村的创建单位；此外还获得过「江门市卫生村」「江海区先进基层党组织」「江海区农村工作突出贡献集体」等称号。[1][2]
