沙津横社区位于江门市江海区外海街道，东面是西江，南界五邑路，西边连着直冲村，北面是清兰社区，辖区面积2.5平方公里。[1][2] 社区由原来的村在2004年改制而成。[1]

街道办事处网站较新的一版介绍称，社区户籍人口2411人（其中股民2122人），分属711户；居民代表49名，外来流动人口1396人。[1] 较早的一版数字略有不同：2371人、729多户、外来人口1500人。[2]

经济[edit]

辖区内有进驻企业70多家，经营发光二极管灯饰、小家电、五金配件等；社区经济收入在较新的介绍中为2025年970多万元，较早的介绍为2023年1123多万元。[1][2]

社区党总支部2004年12月建立，有党员63名。[1] 社区获得过「广东省卫生村居」「广东省宜居社区」「广东省民主法治社区」等称号。[1]
