清兰社区位于江门市江海区外海街道北面，北临西江，南到中华大道，东面是沙津横社区，西面是石鹤利社区。[1][2] 辖区面积0.8平方公里。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区的前身是行政村。1958年它与沙津横并为沙清大队，1980年起单独设清兰大队，2004年12月随城市化改制为社区居民委员会。[1][2] 名称来自旧时的「清瀾」村，村名是因西江水清而取，汉字简化后写作「清兰」。[1]

人口民族[edit]

街道办事处网站介绍，社区户籍人口1090人（其中股民973名），分属300户，另有流动人员1500多人；百度百科则称常住人口近4000人。[1][2]

经济[edit]

辖区有非公有制企业60多家，以灯饰加工和五金为主，2023年经济收入487万多元。[1][2]

文化[edit]

社区党支部2004年12月建立，有党员42名。[2] 获得过「广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2018年）」「江门市绿色社区（2024年）」「江海区先进民兵营」「外海街道文明村」等称号。[1][2]
