凤光村在汕头市潮南区井都镇中部，东靠平湖西，西邻新明村，南临南海。面积2.5平方公里，共419户、2349人。[1]村东南近海处有一座形似凤凰的小洲，旧称凤地，后改称凤光。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明永乐年间（1403年至1424年），祖先从普宁县溪南村迁来立村，起初叫凤地，后改为凤光。[1]明、清至民国初年属潮阳县黄陇都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。[1]

经济[edit]

村民主要种蔬菜和养淡水鱼，有蔬菜地650亩、淡水养殖面积500多亩。[1]2023年4月，凤光村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]
