陇尾村在汕头市潮南区井都镇境内，位于练江下游，南临南海，西接陇田镇，面积约1.2平方公里，共459户、2706人。^[1]村名取自所在的地势：在陇地的下方。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，嘉靖十七年（1538年），祖先从神山村迁来创村。^[1]明、清至民国初年属潮阳县黄陇都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。1950年归井都乡，人民公社时期为陇尾大队，1975年拆分为陇上、陇新两个大队，1986年分为陇一、陇二两个村委会，2004年合并为陇尾村委会。^[1]

全村有水田550亩、旱田400亩，经济相对落后，曾是广东省“千村扶贫”活动中的扶贫村。^[1]2019年9月列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。^[1]
