双山村在汕头市潮南区井都镇境内，位于沿海沙滩地带、深汕高速公路北侧，同陇田镇的南埔村、东华村相邻，居民4569人、769户。^[1]村名来自创寨的先祖李双山。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明嘉靖二十四年（1563年），李双山带着家眷从成田镇简朴村迁来创村。^[1]明、清至民国初年属潮阳县黄陇都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。1950年归井都乡，人民公社时期为双山大队，其后在1983年作双山乡，到1986年改设村委会，1992年一度并入管理区，1999年复归旧制。^[1]

水田、旱地共1132亩，村内长期无村办企业和家庭作坊，年轻人多外出务工；深圳工业转移开发园区落户本村。^[1]2022年10月双山村上榜2022年淘宝村名单；2023年5月被授予2022年广东省卫生村称号。^[1]
