神山社区在汕头市潮南区井都镇的镇区所在地，西邻陇田镇，南面临海。面积约8.5平方公里，共2395户、12963人。[1]社区名来自村内的蜘蛛山，山上有被称作仙眠床、仙脚桶的石头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，郑氏祖先在宋宣和四年（1122年）从福建莆田迁到此地定居。[1]明、清至民国初年属潮阳县黄陇都，1921年属潮阳县第九区。1950年归井都乡，人民公社时期为神山大队，其后在1983年作神山乡，之后建居委会，1992年一度叫管理区，1999年复称居委会。[1]

经济[edit]

社区原以农业为主，后来转向水产养殖，养殖面积约2300亩；此外有38家家庭作坊，做毛织的29家，做服装的5家，做文胸的4家。[1]2021年9月，神山社区列入第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村（芥菜加工）；2022年1月被确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
