红亭社区在汕头老城区，隶属金平区小公园街道，设立时归同益街道。辖区面积约0.1平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这一带旧称“红亭”，旧房拆迁改造后建成红亭花园小区，社区因而得名。[1]

此前归升平区中马街道管辖；2002年1月，原红亭花园居委会和民生居委会的一部分合并，定名红亭居委会；2003年区划调整后归金平区同益街道。同益街道办事处曾设在本社区。[1]2019年，新福、永祥、海安、同益四个街道并入新设的小公园街道，社区随之改隶。[2]

辖区内有市邮电大楼和卫工幼儿园，主干道有公园路、中山路和同益路。[1]
