怀安社区在汕头老城区，隶属金平区小公园街道，设立时归海安街道。辖区面积约0.13平方千米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
怀安街经过辖区，社区因街得名。[1]
2002年1月，原至平、怀安两个居委会合并为怀安居委会，其后在2003年3月的区划调整中划入海安街道。[1]2019年，新福、永祥、海安、同益四个街道并入新设的小公园街道，社区随之改隶。[2]
社区概况[edit]
辖区内有原市邮电总局大楼（汕头市文物保护单位）、汕头开埠历史文化馆和汕头海关关史陈列馆所在的潮海关旧址，主干道有外马路、商平路和至平路。[1]
