潮安社区在汕头老城区，隶属金平区小公园街道，设立时归新福街道。辖区面积约0.011平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

潮汕人看重平安、健康，街名常用“平”“安”二字；潮安街经过本社区，因此取名潮安。[1]

此前归升平区新风街道管辖；2002年1月，原潮安、西堤旁居委会和杉排居委会的一部分合并为潮安居委会，其后在2003年3月的区划调整中划入金平区新福街道，沿用至今。[1]2019年，新福、永祥、海安、同益四个街道并入新设的小公园街道，社区随之改隶。[2]

社区位于老市区，地势低洼，危房较多，居民经营干鲜果和海产品，主干道有商平路、杉排路和韩堤路。[1]
