德志社区在汕头老城区，隶属金平区小公园街道，设立时归永祥街道。辖区面积约0.12平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

过去这里有一家德志行，生意做到海内外，行主出资兴建了住宅楼，社区由此得名。[1]

2002年，原德志、棉安两个居委会合并为德志居委会，其后在2003年3月的区划调整中划入金平区永祥街道。[1]2019年，新福、永祥、海安、同益四个街道并入新设的小公园街道，社区随之改隶。[2]

社区概况[edit]

社区与礐石风景区隔海相望，是海滨路西延段的出入口，以商贸活动为主，主干道有西堤路、至平路和镇邦路。[1]
