山兜社区是汕头市金平区鮀江街道的涉农社区，位于汕头市区北侧，村中有黄、吴、卢三姓，总面积约0.82平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村址西靠连绵的山，形状如兜，故名山兜。明洪武十五年（1382年），福建的邱、罗、郑三姓迁入，后来相继外迁；吴氏于嘉靖二十三年（1544年）从潮阳达濠迁来；卢氏则在清顺治十五年（1658年），由澄海鸥汀迁入；黄氏最晚，康熙三十四年（1695年）才从澄海城西来居。明清属澄海县鳄浦都（据博雅地名网所载写法）。1953年属澄海县第七区铁西乡，1956年并入蓬洲乡，次年改属鮀浦乡，1958年9月之后归鮀浦公社，1970年另立山兜大队，1974年跟着公社转归汕头市郊区；1986年12月改村委会，1998年改居委会，2002年1月定名社区居委会，2003年起属金平区鮀江街道。[1]

地理环境[edit]

东临内洋排水河，西与蓬洲北相邻，南接举登，北到流狮山，与潮安的庄陇村交界，庵揭公路和鮀济河经过辖区。[1]
