广厦街道是广东省汕头市金平区北部的一个街道，辖区内是一片1990年代在浮东、浮西两村旧耕地上规划建成的住宅新城，街道名称取自其中的“广厦新城”。[1][2]街道办事处成立于1995年，现辖13个社区，居住区按园苑成片，社区名多取自花卉与小区。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
街道所在地原是浮东、浮西两村的耕地，相传土壤由韩江流域的泥沙冲积而成。浮东、浮西本为一个村，称浮陇乡，清代归潮州府澄海县管辖。[1][4]1912年起，浮陇乡一分为二，先后隶属澄海县官埭公社、下蓬公社，以及汕头市郊区的下蓬公社、金砂公社；金砂公社升格为金砂区后，两村归金砂区管。[4]
1991年金砂、公园两区并成金园区，浮东、浮西也就划归金园区。[1][4]1993年，两村土地由政府统一征用，着手规划广厦新城住宅群；1995年10月，金园区设立了广厦街道办事处，次年9月再设浮西、浮东两个居委会。[4]2003年3月金园区与升平区合并为金平区，街道办事处改称汕头市金平区广厦街道办事处。[1][4]
街道下辖的社区先后增多：杜鹃、荷花、樱花、红荔、葵花、珠厦等居委会在2002年前后由金园区批准设立，金禧居委会设于2003年，2007年金禧拆分出金桐，同年增设嘉顿；2015年前后，珠厦又分出春峰、东星两个社区，社区总数达13个。[5][6][7]
地理环境[edit]
街道位于金平区北部。据百度百科，街道东面以国道324线汕汾路为界，南面到华山北路为止，那里与东墩街道相连；西边濒临梅溪河，与对岸的岐山街道遥对；北边沿乐山路、嵩山路，毗邻龙湖区。[1]百度百科记辖区面积3.8平方千米，博雅地名网则记约4.03平方千米，两处数字不一致。[1][2]
东厦北路、金新北路、天山北路、华山北路是区内的主要干道。[5][7]

百度百科称，2011年末街道户籍人口为8.28万人。[1]博雅地名网的街道概况另记有居民15072户35618人，未注明年份，两处口径不同。[3]

据博雅地名网转载的街道概况，辖区企业有200多家，规上企业占20家，这20家的产值为58670万元，约占街道工业总产值的六成；到2009年，街道的工业总产值达97204万元，商业销售额达98563万元，外贸出口额为1621万美元。[3]百度百科另载2011年的数据：财政收入0.17亿元，固定资产投资总额约2.33亿元，规上工业产值10.71亿元。[1]
街道办事处设有党政办公室、经济发展办公室、社区事务办公室、计划生育办公室、司法所、企业服务中心和社区服务中心等机构。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
浮西社区村西有一座三山国王庙，建于清乾隆甲午年（1774年）。[8]
