地名由来[edit]

村边有水塘，故名平塘。「平沙」之「平」字即取自平塘。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年11月，平塘社区所在的平沙镇入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村；2024年4月，列入广东省首批乡村振兴示范村的创建之列。[1]
