拔头吓在汤坑社区，离街道办事处约5千米，邻近老围、张屋、汤星三村。村建于清代，罗姓先祖从东莞茶山迁来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

客家人把番石榴叫作拔仔，此地有一片番石榴树，果熟后落在树下，村因此得名「拔头吓」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村南是打鼓岭和马棕涧，北面是坪山河，南有三洲田水库。[1]
