南约社区在宝龙街道西部，挨着龙岗中心城和宝龙科技城，辖区约7.3平方千米，是由南约村改制而来的「村改居」社区。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

名称的来历有两说：一说村落在龙岗南侧，土地改革时分成三个农会，彼此订约遵守，故称南约；另一说据《南约村史》，「南」指龙岗镇八仙岭以南，「约」取大莫约之意，合起来指八仙岭以南大莫约一带。[3]

集体化时期，南约先在1957年办起农业高级社，次年入人民公社；1960年管辖南约与尘谷坑两个大队，1962年二者合为一个南约生产大队。此后体制数度更名：1983年成乡政府，1987年成村民委员会。2004年2月推行农村城市化，村委会换牌为社区居民委员会，当时归龙岗街道，2016年随新设的宝龙街道划出。[2]

辖区[edit]

社区内有11处城中村，其中9处是居民小组（含炳坑、联和、马桥、大行、积谷田、汉田、大浪和水一、水二），2处是外卖地（大浪北、广场新村）；花园小区有12个。[1] 房屋约2492栋，共48311套，租住者多在比亚迪及科技城的企业上班；工业园区7个，工厂企业约352家。[1]

地铁14号线南约站在辖区内；正中高尔夫球场和在建的石鼓岭公园是社区两处主要的绿地。[1]

荣誉[edit]

南约社区被评为深圳市健康社区；2022年3月，它由市住建部门认定为首批绿色（宜居）社区；2025年，它又得到第二十二届深圳关爱行动的「年度爱心社区」称号。[1][2]
