沿革[edit]
该地新中国成立后称沙头大队、沙井镇沙头村民委员会，2004年7月改为沙头社区居民委员会；2009年2月，为适应发展，居委会一分为二，沙头、茭塘各设其一，仍共用一个工作站（「一站两居」）。2019年9月进入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1][2]
