蚝四社区在沙井镇中部，是沙井大村的一部分，因养蚝著名、按序排为第四而得名。[1]
沿革[edit]
解放初期归沙井乡，1955年组建定义蚝业初级社，不久升为高级社。1991年12月蚝业村划出蚝四村民委员会，1993年1月改称沙井蚝四村委会，2004年7月城市化改制之后设社区居委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予蚝四社区2020年广东省卫生村称号；2019年9月进入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]
