后亭社区在沙井街道北部，与松岗街道交界，靠近宝安大道，辖区面积1.2平方公里。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，明代初年归德盐场在这里设过后亭社，列为十三社之一，后来沿用为地名。后亭村原管后寨、北亭、大田，1961年后寨与北亭合并为后亭大队，1983年改称后亭村，1993年1月改为沙井后亭村委会，2004年7月城市化改制为社区居民委员会。[1]
社区概况[edit]
辖区有4个工业区、6个住宅小区和1所幼儿园，总人口3.5万余人，其中户籍人口356人。2022年3月名列首批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区，2019年、2020年两度进入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]
