草埔东社区在深圳市罗湖区东晓街道北部，毗邻布吉检查站，面积约0.84平方公里。社区由吓屋、吓围、新屋吓等客家村落和清水河新村、紫荆花园等住宅区组成。[1]地名据称源于宋代梁姓先祖自梅县迁来建草埔村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
草埔一带在建国后到1992年为草埔大队，下辖7个自然村，草埔东占3个，草埔西占4个。1992年10月，草埔东的村民委员会改组为居民委员会，大队则改组为英隆集体股份公司；2002年3月又设草埔东社区居委会。[1]
人口与建筑[edit]
博雅地名网所载资料（未注明年份）称，社区共8954户，约3.09万人，户籍者2356人。楼宇合计624栋，吓屋村占258栋，吓围村176栋，新屋吓村151栋，另有清水河新村23栋、紫荆花园16栋。[1]
辖区村落[edit]
吓围村建于清康熙年间；梁姓先祖在此落户时，地势比新屋吓村低，村名由此而来。村民约半数为自新屋吓迁出的梁漴公后人。清代的朝聘梁公祠在2013年重修。[2]
吓屋村同样始建于清康熙年间，因地势低洼易受水淹得名，梁氏十四世祖梁万春、梁万宾自长乐迁来开基，村内有清光绪年间的惠兰梁公祠，保留客家婚俗和麒麟舞。[3]
新屋吓村在2015年末有户籍居民313人，多为梁姓客家人；村内有客家围屋宁庆世居的残存建筑和梁氏宗祠，设有梁金生烈士纪念馆。集体经济方面，1992年设英隆实业股份有限公司，2002年改制，成为草莆新屋吓实业股份合作公司。[4]
荣誉[edit]
深圳市住房和建设局于2022年3月把草埔东社区认定为第一批绿色（宜居）社区。[1]
