木棉岭社区在深圳市罗湖区东晓街道，位于罗湖与龙岗之间原二线关的「插花地」上，因辖区主要在木棉岭村而得名。原属龙岗区的木棉岭村和部分长排村，2003年10月城市化改制时划归罗湖区。[1]

木棉岭居委会设于2003年10月，社区工作站在2005年1月21日挂牌。[1]
地理与人口[edit]
社区东面从罗龙路向南接到原二线分界网，西面邻港发新村、华龙苑和比华利山庄，北到罗湖与龙岗的区划线，南到原二线分界网（国防公路）。博雅地名网所载资料（未注明年份）称，占地42100平方米，有出租屋235栋，总人口17980人，其中暂住人口占95.11%，深圳户籍人口880人。[1]
